Special instructions
This book is laid out in the following format: Name for the spot, Timing, Location, & What to do.
Name for the spot-can be the creek name, hump name, bridge, pond or general descriptive area intended to describe.
Timing-this should give you an idea as to what time of year you can expect this particular information for this particular spot to happen on the lake.
Location-This tells you where. Here is an example-(Map A- #5 & #11). What this number refers to is see Map A and look for fishing spots #5 and # 11). Each spot will have a GPS coordinate listed in the Map Coordinate page as well which should be located fairly close to the same map page. This should allow you to mentally and physically find the spot on the lake. All GPS coordinates listed are based upon 1927 North American Datum. All coordinates are approximate and the accuracy may vary. Coordinates are provided in order for the reader to know where the descriptions are and to enable the angler to find those spots on the lake. The numerous hazards on this lake and cannot be shown here. Expect the unexpected-floating logs, stumps in boat lanes and open water, shallow water areas and boaters who don’t pay attention.
What to do-tells things like what to use to catch fish and how to do it. Tells things like what size of fish you can expect here, spawn information, the good things about this area, the bad things about the area, and etc. It may even tell you not to waste a lot of time in this particular area or it may clue you in to a super area that you’ll want to spend a lot of time
How to read the GPS Grid shown on the map pages-Long marks equal 1/10 of one minute of latitude or longitude, depending upon which scale you are using. Each short mark equals 1/100 of one minute of latitude or longitude, depending upon which scale you are using.
You may also notice some fishing spots that are shown on the maps but not talked about. These spots have coordinates as well on the coordinate pages and are provided for your benefit should you decide you want to explore them. Most of the deep water bridges are shown should you want to find them. Some are in tact and others have long been gone.
